This policy explains how a project with Cadbricks Private Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) may be cancelled, and what you owe if it is. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions and should be read with our Refund Policy. Where a signed proposal or statement of work (“Proposal”) states different terms for a specific engagement, the Proposal prevails.
1. What our work involves
We provide custom, project-specific professional services — Scan-to-BIM modelling, as-built documentation, CD sets, permit sets, ADA documentation support and ADU documentation. Work is produced to your project’s requirements and cannot be resold or reused for another client. Because of this, cancellation is settled on the basis of work already performed rather than as a simple reversal of payment.
2. Advance payments
Unless the Proposal states otherwise, an advance is payable before work begins. The advance reserves production capacity and covers project setup, and is applied against the first invoice for the engagement.
3. How to cancel
Send written notice to info@cadbricks.com. Cancellation takes effect from the time we receive that notice. A verbal instruction or a message to an individual team member is not sufficient — please put it in writing so both sides have a clear record of the date.
4. Cancellation before work has commenced
If we receive your notice before we begin production, the engagement ends with nothing further owed. Your advance is returned in accordance with our Refund Policy, less any bank or payment gateway charges already incurred.
5. Cancellation after work has commenced
You will be charged for all work completed and costs committed up to the date we receive your notice, calculated on the basis set out in the Proposal — milestone value, or hours worked at the agreed rate where the Proposal is time-based.
- If you have paid more than that amount, the balance is refunded under our Refund Policy.
- If you have paid less, we will invoice the shortfall, payable within 15 days.
On settlement of the amount due, we will hand over the work completed to that date in its then-current, unfinished state, together with any source files the Proposal says you receive.
6. Cancellation after final delivery
Once final deliverables have been issued, the engagement is complete and cannot be cancelled. If a deliverable does not match the agreed scope, the correction process in our Terms and Conditions applies.
7. Cancellation by us
We may cancel an engagement if:
- you do not supply the data, inputs, approvals or feedback needed for us to proceed, after a reasonable reminder;
- invoices remain unpaid beyond their due date;
- the scope changes into work we cannot competently or lawfully deliver; or
- you are in material breach of our Terms and Conditions and have not remedied it within 15 days of written notice.
Where we cancel for a reason other than your breach or non-payment, we will refund amounts you have paid for work not yet performed.
8. Putting a project on hold
If you need to pause rather than cancel, tell us as early as you can. We will hold the project for up to 30 days at no charge. Beyond that we may release the reserved capacity, and restarting may be subject to revised timelines and current rates.
